Maria Cecilia Dador Soriano, known as Maricel Soriano, is a Filipino movie actress born on February 25th, 1965 in Manila, Philippines. She is widely recognized by the nickname “The Diamond Star” and has received close to fifty entertainment awards for her notable performances in various films and television series.
Soriano made her acting debut at the age of six in the 1971 movie My Heart Belongs to Daddy. Throughout her career, she has appeared in successful films such as Dahas (1994) and Separada (1993), as well as television series like Kaya Ni Mister Kaya Ni Misis and Vietnam Rose.
Aside from acting, she is also a singer and performed the theme song for the 1981 film Oh My Mama. Soriano was briefly married to actor Edu Manzano and has two sons named Sebastien and Marron.
