About Maria Rasputin
Maria Rasputin (March 27, 1898 – September 27, 1977) was a Russian memoirist known for being the daughter of Grigori Rasputin, an enigmatic Russian mystic. She wrote several memoirs about her father’s life and murder.
After Grigori Rasputin’s death, his followers encouraged Maria to marry her father’s successor in hopes that during their seances, Rasputin’s essence would enter the body of his successor. Maria fled Russia after the revolution and worked as a cabaret dancer.
She had one daughter with her first husband Boris Soloviev and later married Gregory Bernardsky in 1940.
