About Maria Margarita Giraldo
Maria Margarita Giraldo, born on January 18, 1950 in Bogota, Colombia, is a prolific Colombian actress known for her work in telenovelas. She has had prominent roles in shows like Pasion de Gavilanes and Vecinos, as well as El secretario and the Nickelodeon show Yo soy Franky.
Giraldo began her acting career in 1975 with La tia es el gordo, but it wasn’t until ten years later that she gained recognition from her role in Don Chinche. In 2010, she made one of her few feature film appearances in the comedy El paseo.
Giraldo comes from an acting family – her mother, Teresa Gutierrez, was one of the first actresses in Colombian television and her brother is renowned actor Miguel Varoni.
