About Marguerite Pindling
Marguerite Pindling is a politician born on June 26, 1932, in the Bahamas. In July of 2014, she took office as Governor General of the Bahamas. She is also well-known as the wife of former Bahamanian Prime Minister Lynden Pindling.
Before her political career, Pindling worked as a photographer’s assistant to Stanley Toogood during her early adulthood years.
She succeeded Arthur Foulkes as Governor General of the Bahamas and grew up in South Andros and Nassau, Bahamas, as the daughter of Viola and Reuben McKenzie. Her nearly fifty-year marriage to Lynden Pindling resulted in four children.
