Before entering the world of cinema, De la Motte trained as a ballerina under the renowned Russian pedagogue Anna Pavlova. Her big break came when she was spotted by Douglas Fairbanks while dancing at a performance held at Sid Grauman’s Million Dollar Theater in Los Angeles.
De la Motte’s most notable works include starring alongside Fairbanks in films such as The Mark of Zorro, The Three Musketeers, and The Iron Mask. She cemented her place in Hollywood history through these iconic performances.
