About Margalo Gillmore
Margalo Gillmore (May 31, 1897) was an English-born American stage actress known for her appearances in The Straw, a play by Eugene O’Neill, and Sail Away, a musical written by Noel Coward. She trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and began her career as an extra in a silent film at sixteen. Gillmore also had roles in films such as Wayward, Perfect Strangers, and High Society. She was married to Robert Ross from 1935 until his death in 1954.
