About Maranda Curtis
Maranda Curtis, born on August 4, 1979, in Miami, Florida, is a prominent gospel singer and religious leader. She has gained widespread recognition with over 200,000 followers on her marandacurtis Instagram account and 52 million views on her YouTube channel. Curtis has been honored with Broadcast Music, Inc.’s Trailblazers of Gospel Music Award and received nominations for numerous Stellar Music Awards and Dove Music Awards.
In 2012 she released her premiere single “Don’t Take Your Love Away”, followed by her debut EP “The Maranda Experience, Vol. 1” which debuted at number one on Billboard’s gospel chart in 2017.
Before gaining fame as a gospel singer and religious influencer she initially regarded singing as a personal source of solace. It was not until adulthood that she redirected her life towards faith-driven worship while utilizing her vocal talents publicly.
Notable among Curtis’ achievements is the inception of what she terms ‘responsible worship’ in 2015 – an ideology that lays emphasis on sharing or publicizing acts of worship rather than keeping them private. This concept led to the creation of Responsible Worship clinics since 2018 which have attracted attendees from across the world featuring influential guests including gospel singer Enrique Holmes.
