About Malvina Hoffman
Malvina Hoffman (1885-06-15) was an American sculptor born in New York City, New York. She is best known for creating life-size bronze sculptures of people, including the famous “Martinique Woman” located in the Brooklyn Museum.
Before gaining prominence as a sculptor, she made the bold decision to move to Europe at the age of 23 to pursue her passion for sculpture.
Hoffman had a keen fascination with dancers which is evident in much of her work.
She married Samuel B. Grimson during her lifetime.
