About Maja Wloszczowska
Maja Wloszczowska, born on November 9, 1983 in Warsaw, Poland, is a professional mountain biker. In 2010, she achieved the title of cross-country UCI Mountain Bike World Champion after finishing as the runner-up five times in previous years. Additionally, she secured Olympic silver medals for cross-country riding in both 2008 and 2016.
Wloszczowska originates from Jelenia Gora, Poland, which later named a race in her honor – the Jelenia Gora Trophy Maja Włoszczowska MTB Race. Recognized for her biking achievements, she was bestowed with the Golden Cross of Merit by the Polish government – one of their highest civilian honors.
In terms of personal life, Wloszczowska is married to Przemysław Zawada who is a race car driver.
