About Luz Salgado
Luz Salgado is a Peruvian politician and journalist, born on July 3, 1949 in Lima, Peru. She served as the President of Congress from 2016 to 2017.
Salgado studied communication sciences at the Universidad San Martin de Porres and holds a master’s degree from the Center for Higher National Studies. She was first elected to Congress in 1992.
She is married to Domingo Paredes Santolalla and they have a son, Andres Paredes Salgado.
