Avril Lavigne is a pop punk performer who was born on September 27, 1984, in Belleville, Canada. She became the youngest female solo artist to release a #1 album in the U.K. with Let Go and has been nominated for eight Grammy Awards. Her self-titled fifth album was released in November 2013.
She began singing at the age of two and gained attention after her father built her a studio in the basement, which led to performances at county fairs. Her hit single “Complicated” won her the MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist in a Video in 2002.
Avril Lavigne has an older brother named Matthew and a younger sister named Michelle. She married Deryck Whibley on July 15, 2006 but they divorced on November 16, 2010. She then married Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger from 2013 to 2015 and dated Phillip Sarofim from 2018 to 2019.
