Lous and the Yakuza, born on May 26, 1996 in Congo Republic, is a Congolese-Belgian pop singer and rapper. She gained fame after releasing her debut single “Dilemme” in September 2019, followed by her debut album ‘Gore’ in October 2020.
With over 440,000 followers on her lousandtheyakuza Instagram account, Lous regularly updates fans about her professional endeavors and promotes her work. Her first single went viral with more than 20 million streams on Spotify and 8.9 million views on YouTube, topping Spotify Italia’s Viral 50 chart.
In February 2020, she was featured as a model for the French luxury fashion house Chloe during Paris Fashion Week. Additionally, Lous is also an artist who creates manga and graphic novel illustrations.
Born in Lubumbashi, Zaire to a Rwandan mother and Congolese father–both prominent doctors in the Democratic Republic of the Congo–she fled to Belgium with her family during the Second Congo War in 2000.
