About Louise Nevelson
Louise Nevelson (1899-09-23) was a Russian-born American sculptor known for her grayscale sculptures, including “Clown tight rope walker.” She studied under Hans Hofmann and attended art classes at the Art Students League of New York. Nevelson’s work has been featured in several sculpture gardens in New York. In 1920, she married Charles Nevelson, with whom she had a son before divorcing in 1941.
