Lorrae Desmond (born October 2, 1929) is an Australian soap opera actress. She is best known for her role as Councillor Dean Gilroy on the popular television show A Country Practice, a character she portrayed for over a decade.
Prior to gaining widespread recognition, Desmond had her first acting opportunity in the 1955 film Stock Car.
In 1984, she received the Best Supporting Actress Logie Award for her performance on A Country Practice.
Desmond was briefly married to Dr. Alex Gorshenin starting in 1963.
