Lisa Stansfield is an English R&B artist, born on April 11, 1966, in England. She gained international fame with her 1989 single “All Around the World,” which reached #1 on various charts including the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Prior to her solo career, she provided background vocals for Dionne Warwick‘s album “Friends Can Be Lovers”.
Stansfield began her career by winning Search for a Star and attended Siddal Moor School before making her singing debut with the band Blue Zone in the early 1980s.
In addition to her successful singles, she released her seventh album “The Moment” in 2004. Over the years, she also released several other singles such as “The Only Way,” “Listen to Your Heart,” and “I Got a Feeling.”
