About Lisa Simone Kelly
Lisa Simone Kelly, also known as Simone and Lisa Stroud, is a jazz singer born on September 12, 1962 in New York. She is the daughter of renowned jazz singer and civil rights activist Nina Simone.
Before starting her career as an entertainer, she worked in the engineering department of the United States Air Force. She later participated in national tours for productions such as Jesus Christ Superstar and Rent. In the early 2000s, she garnered attention for her performance in the Broadway production of Aida.
She collaborated with the jazz group Liquid Soul on a Grammy-nominated recording titled Here’s The Deal and released a solo album called All Is Well. Her marriage to Robert Kelly resulted in a child named ReAnna Simone Kelly.
