Born on March 1, 1967, in the United States, Noland’s life took a dramatic turn when she was abducted by serial killer Bobby Joe Long at the age of 17. This abduction ultimately led to Long’s capture and brought an end to his reign of terror.
Before pursuing a career in law enforcement, Noland faced significant challenges in her early years. As a child, she lived in foster care due to her mother’s struggles with drug and alcohol abuse. At the age of 14, she moved in with her grandmother but tragically became a victim of abuse at the hands of her grandmother’s boyfriend.
Noland’s traumatic experience at the hands of Bobby Joe Long occurred on November 3, 1984, as she rode her bike home from work. Blindfolded and taken to Long’s home where he assaulted her over a period of 26 hours before unexpectedly releasing her. Remarkably, Noland provided crucial information about Long to investigators that led directly to his arrest on November 16th that same year.
