About Linda Carlson
Linda Carlson (born May 12, 1945) is an American TV actress born in Knoxville, Tennessee. She is best known for her leading role as Dr. Janet Cottrell in the medical drama Westside Medical, which premiered in 1977. Additionally, she portrayed Katie McKenna in the show Kaz, which ran from 1978 to 1979.
Prior to her acting career, Carlson attended the University of Iowa where she studied speech and dramatic arts before pursuing a master’s degree at New York University’s School of Arts.
She has also appeared in numerous theatrical productions on and off-Broadway, with one of her notable roles being Crete in the play Full Circle.
Born and raised in Knoxville Tennessee, Carlson was previously married to director Philip Charles MacKenzie before their divorce. She later remarried Jim Hart.
