Liana Leota (born October 31, 1984) is a former New Zealand netball player who gained recognition for her achievements with the Silver Ferns, the national team of New Zealand. Born in Taihape, New Zealand as Liana Barrett-Chase, she has had a successful career playing for top teams such as the Southern Steel and Central Pulse in the ANZ Championship.
Leota’s notable accomplishments include winning gold medals at both the Commonwealth Games and World Netball Series while representing the Silver Ferns. She was also honored with the title of Most Valuable Player during the 2010 ANZ Championship season.
