About Leticia Calderon
Leticia Calderón, born on July 15, 1968 in Mexico City, is a Mexican soap opera actress. She rose to fame for her portrayal of the title role in the 1997 international hit “Esmerelda” and has since become a well-known face in telenovelas such as “A que no me dejas,” “In the Name of Love,” and “Valiant Love.”
Calderón began her acting career at the age of fourteen with a role in the Mexican drama “Amalia Batista” alongside Susana Dosamantes. Throughout her career, she has garnered numerous awards for Best Actress and Best Female Antagonist for her performances in telenovelas.
Born to Mario Calderón and Carmen León, she has three brothers: Mario, Miguel, and Alejandro. Between 2000 and 2008, she took a hiatus from acting to focus on raising her sons Carlos and Luciano.
