About Leigh Bingham Nash
Leigh Bingham Nash, born on June 27, 1976 in New Braunfels, Texas, is a pop singer best known as the lead vocalist of the popular band Sixpence None the Richer. The group gained fame with their hit song “Kiss Me.” In addition to her work with the band, Nash has also pursued a successful solo career.
Prior to her rise to fame, she performed at local cafes and Texan country and western dance halls alongside a middle-aged band. She drew inspiration for the band’s name from a line in C.S. Lewis’ book “Mere Christianity.”
In terms of personal life, Nash was married to Pray For Rain drummer Mark Nash from 1996 to 2006 and had one child with him. She later married musician Stephen Wilson in 2001.
