About Layla Al-Siyabi
Layla Al-Siyabi (born August 7, 1987) is a Qatari Instagram star known for her documentation of subcultures in Qatar, including fashion, feminism, and beauty. With over 600,000 followers, she shares her photos and promotes various brands such as Aldo Shoes, Kappa, and Pure Juice Bar. Al-Siyabi gave a TEDx talk on “Beyond Beauty” and started sharing fashion-related content on Instagram in August 2013. She began her career as a fashion designer in Qatar.
Al-Siyabi is also recognized for her YouTube series titled “Be Your Own Trend,” where she explores food, music, fashion, and culture in Qatar for over 1,000 subscribers. Forbes Middle East named her Oman’s top lifestyle influencer in 2019. Additionally, she has received awards for diversity and inclusiveness for women entrepreneurs as well as a Millennial Leader award.
Born and raised in Qatar with two children whom she often features on Instagram, Layla Al-Siyabi currently resides in Muscat after moving from Doha.
