About Lauren Sesselmann
Lauren Sesselmann is a Canadian-American soccer player who was born on August 14, 1983 in Marshfield, Wisconsin. She has represented Canada internationally and achieved significant success in her career, including winning a gold medal at the 2011 Pan American Games and a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympics. Sesselmann has played professionally for teams such as the Houston Dash and FC Kansas City.
Before pursuing a professional soccer career, Sesselmann excelled as a high school basketball player, winning a Wisconsin state championship. However, she chose to attend Purdue University to play college soccer and set multiple school records during her time there as a Boilermaker.
In addition to her athletic achievements, Sesselmann created a DVD workout series called Fit As A Pro and also ventured into acting with a role in the 2014 movie Dark Awakening where she portrayed the character Faith. She was born to Ernie and Debbie Sesselmann and grew up with two brothers. Notably, she qualifies for the Canadian national team through her father.
