About Laura Avila
Laura Avila (January 18, 1982 – November 24, 2018) was a Dallas real estate agent who tragically passed away after undergoing plastic surgery in Mexico. Born in Texas, she had chosen to travel to Juarez for the procedure due to lower costs compared to those in the United States.
Before her career as a real estate agent, Avila pursued dancing and singing. Unfortunately, she died several weeks after the surgery and spent eight days in Mexico before being transferred back to Texas by her family. She was accompanied by her fiance Enrique Cruz at the time of her passing and is survived by her sister Angie Avila.
