Lami Phillips-Gbadamosi is a Nigerian R&B singer known for her breakout hit, “Know.” She has also delved into acting in Nollywood movies and live productions. Born on April 3, 1981, in Nigeria, she attended the University of Kent in the United Kingdom and later earned an executive MBA from Penn State University.
Aside from her music career, Lami has been involved in volunteer work to support women’s issues. She was born in Chicago to Mr. and Mrs. Olumide Phillips before relocating to Lagos, Nigeria with her family where she grew up. In 2005, she married Labo Gbadamosi and they have two daughters who were born in the United States.
