Kym Karath, born on August 4, 1958 in Los Angeles, California, is a movie actress known for her role as Gretl Von Trapp in the 1965 classic musical film The Sound of Music.
Her acting career began at the age of three when she made her film debut in Spencer’s Mountain and followed it up with a role alongside Doris Day in The Thrill of It All just a year later.
Karath remained close to her six Sound of Music child co-stars throughout her life and reunited with them in Salzburg in 2000 to film a documentary about the making of the iconic film. She was born to Greek immigrants in Los Angeles
