About Kyla Trethewey
Kyla Trethewey is a Canadian photographer born on October 4, 1987. In 2013, she made the bold decision to sell all her belongings and embark on a cross-country journey with her best friend Jillian Mann. The two of them co-manage the blog Our Wild Abandon.
Before gaining recognition as a photographer and blogger, Kyla initially knew Jillian through their respective partners but it took four years for them to develop their own friendship.
An interesting fact about Kyla is that her initial two-month road trip with Jillian ended up lasting six months. Additionally, she broke up with her boyfriend in the week leading up to Valentine’s Day in 2013.
