Kristen Anderson-Lopez, born on March 21, 1972 in New York City, is an award-winning American songwriter and lyricist. She is best known for her work on the soundtracks for Frozen, Frozen 2, and Coco. Kristen often collaborates with her husband Robert Lopez to co-write songs.
Prior to her success as a songwriter, Kristen studied drama and psychology at Williams College where she graduated in 1994.
At the 86th Academy Awards ceremony, Kristen won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for “Let It Go,” which was featured in the movie Frozen.
Since 2003, Kristen has been married to American songwriter Robert Lopez. The couple has two daughters named Annie and Katie.
