Koryn Hawthorne, born on December 26, 1997 in Abbeville, Louisiana, is an American soul singer who gained prominence as a contestant on NBC’s The Voice. She finished in fourth place during the eighth season as a member of Team Pharrell.
Before her rise to fame, Hawthorne was involved with the organization Louisiana Kids where she performed at local nursing homes and charity events. Additionally, she worked part-time at Little Caesars pizza shop.
Born and raised in Abbeville, Hawthorne was honored by Mayor Mark Piazza who declared May 6th, 2015 as Koryn Hawthorne Day and presented her with a key to the city.
