Kjersti Oestgaard Buaas, born on January 5, 1982 in Trondheim, Norway, is a renowned snowboarder who has achieved remarkable success in her sport. She made her mark as a four-time Olympic participant and secured a Bronze medal for Women’s Halfpipe at the 2006 Winter Games.
Buaas further established herself by claiming the Bronze during the 2012 X Games in the Slopestyle event. Her journey as a professional snowboarder began in 2000 after winning a local big jump contest in 1996 and securing victory at the World Junior Championships in 1999.
Her impressive skills propelled her to rank as the World #3 on the 2007/2008 Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour. Additionally, Buaas expanded her influence with a signature line of snowboard gear named KJ.
