About Kitra Cahana
Kitra Cahana (born October 13, 1987) is an American-born Canadian photographer known for her work as a contributing photographer to National Geographic Magazine. She has also gained recognition as a TED talk speaker and in 2016 was granted a TED Senior Fellowship.
Cahana obtained a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from McGill University before embarking on her photography career. She has been awarded the World Press Photo Award for Arts and Entertainment.
Her father, Ronnie Cahana, suffered from a stroke that left him with locked-in syndrome.
