About Kimberly Willis Holt
Kimberly Willis Holt is a children’s author most famous for her National Book Award-winning novel “When Zachary Beaver Came to Town.” She was born on September 9, 1960, in Pensacola, Florida. Her debut novel, “My Louisiana Sky,” was published in 1998.
Holt has also written the popular Piper Reed books as well as stand-alone titles like “Keeper of the Night” and “The Water Seeker.” Additionally, she collaborated with illustrator Gabi Swiatkowska on a picture book titled “Waiting for Gregory.”
Born to a United States Navy officer father, Holt spent her childhood in various locations including Louisiana, Guam, and France before settling in Amarillo, Texas.
