About Katja Retsin
Katja Retsin (born March 22, 1972) is a Belgian TV show host, presenter, and announcer known for her work on various television and radio programs. She gained recognition as the announcer for numerous shows on the VRT network, and is particularly renowned for her role as the host of Ultratop 50 on radio and The National Test on television.
Prior to her media career, Retsin studied English to Spanish translation at VLEKHO in Brussels before joining a production house at IDTV. Subsequently, she ventured into broadcasting as a video jockey at VRT while simultaneously taking up presenting roles across different shows.
In addition to her broadcasting endeavors, Retsin has demonstrated versatility by venturing into writing children’s books such as Snot and the Paper House. Outside of her professional pursuits, she is married to actor Jan Schepens with whom she has two daughters and a son.
