About Kathy Smith
Kathy Smith, born on December 11, 1951 in Arizona, is an entrepreneur and personal trainer best known for her line of workout videos released throughout the 1980s and 1990s. She has been inducted into the Video Hall of Fame.
Prior to gaining recognition as a fitness guru, Smith attended and graduated from the University of Hawaii with a degree in Business Administration. In 1975, she was one of the few women to complete the Honolulu Marathon and was listed by Runner’s World Magazine as one of the world’s Top 100 Marathon Runners.
In addition to her successful career in fitness, Kathy Smith has also developed innovative programs such as Project You Type 2, aimed at managing or preventing Type 2 diabetes.
Kathy Smith currently resides in Park City, Utah where she raised her two daughters.
