Katharine Viner is an English writer known for her work as a playwright and journalist. She made history as the first female Editor-In-Chief of The Guardian and co-wrote the popular play My Names is Rachel Corrie.
She began her writing career by publishing articles in The Guardian while studying at Pembroke College, Oxford, discussing educational exams. Later, she wrote for Cosmopolitan and served as a judge on the Orange Prize for Fiction in 2004.
Born in Yorkshire, England on January 4, 1971, Viner has also been appointed to the board of the Royal Court Theatre.
