Karen Martinez (born August 14, 1979) is a Colombian model and actress best known for her work in the telenovela industry. She gained widespread attention for her marriage to Colombian rock singer Juanes on August 6, 2004.
Martinez got her start in the entertainment industry at age 14 when she appeared in her first TV commercial, which was shot in her native Cartagena, Colombia. She later appeared in popular Colombian telenovelas such as Tiempo final and El cartel. In addition to acting, Martinez also worked as an assistant director in Colombian television during the late 1990s.
She and Juanes have three children together: Luna, Paloma, and Dante.
