About Karen Blixen-Finecke
Karen Blixen-Finecke, born on April 17, 1885, in Denmark, was a Danish writer known for her autobiographical work Out of Africa. She wrote under the male pseudonym Isak Dinesen and is also acclaimed for her popular short story Babette’s Feast which was adapted into an Oscar-winning film. Before gaining fame as an author, she published her first literary work seven Gothic Tales in 1934. Her notable works include Shadows on the Grass, Ehrengard, and Anecdotes of Destiny.
Blixen-Finecke lived in Kenya with her Swedish Baron husband Bror von Blixen-Finecke.
