About Kajsa Bergqvist
Kajsa Bergqvist is a Swedish high jumper born on October 12, 1976. She made history by setting a Swedish outdoor record of 2.06 meters in 2003 and a world indoor record of 2.08 meters in 2006. With multiple World Championship titles and a bronze at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, she has left an indelible mark on the sport.
Before her fame, Bergqvist dabbled in various sports including volleyball, soccer, and badminton as a child before attending Southern Methodist University where she secured NCAA Champion titles in 1997 and 1999.
Following her retirement from athletics, Kajsa became an ambassador for UNICEF and the IAAF. She was also married to Mans Herngren from 2007 to 2011 with whom she shares one older brother named Anders.
