About Kadeena Cox
Kadeena Cox (born March 10, 1991) is a British cyclist known for breaking the record in the paracycling 500 meter race with a time of 34.598 seconds. Hailing from Leeds, England, she has represented Great Britain in international events such as the Paralympic Games, World Championships, and European Championships both as a sprinter and cyclist. In 2016, she achieved success by winning the Women’s 400 meters T38 at the Paralympics in Rio.
Before her cycling career, Cox initially pursued hockey before moving into track and field sprinting at age 15. Following her diagnosis with multiple sclerosis in 2014, she transitioned to para-athlete competition first as a sprinter and then later as a cyclist.
Beyond sports achievements, Kadeena Cox has also appeared on several British reality shows including Celebrity Mastermind, Celebrity MasterChef – which she won in 2021 – and I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here. She was born to Jamaican migrant parents.
