Julieta Jankunas, born on January 20, 1999 in Cordoba, Argentina, is a renowned women’s field hockey player. She has accomplished significant successes as a forward for the Argentine national team, notably winning the 2016 Junior World Cup, the 2017 Pan American Cup and the Pan American Games in 2019. Jankunas has also contributed her skills to various clubs such as Universitario de Cordoba.
Jankunas began her field hockey journey at an early age of 4 and started playing at Tala Rugby Club in the Cordoba Province. Fans and media commonly refer to her by her nickname “Lioness”. Her family includes parents Carina and Ruben along with a brother named Federico.
