Julie Vega was a popular child actress known for her roles in Filipino films such as “Mga Mata ni Angelita.” She was born on May 21, 1968, in Quezon City, Philippines. Julie tragically passed away at the age of 16 due to bronchopneumonia.
She was discovered while performing at a Christmas party at the Quezon Institute in 1975 and went on to win FAMAS Awards for Best Child Actress twice, for her roles in “Mga Mata ni Angelita” and “Durugin si Totoy Bato.”
Julie Vega was the youngest of six children and the only girl born to her parents. Her legacy continues to live on through her memorable performances in Philippine cinema.
