Julie Lake, born on October 24, 1982 in California, is an American TV actress. She is best known for her role as inmate Angie Rice on the hit series Orange Is the New Black. Alongside Shirin Najafi, she co-created the web series George and Julie which follows a struggling actress seeking advice from her cat George. The duo also worked together on the web series Mental.
Prior to gaining fame as an actress, Lake studied theater at Yale University. Her career highlights include appearances in series like Boomtown and James Blondes, as well as TV movies such as Trophies and Love Me Do. Over the years, she has contributed to over 20 different titles within the entertainment industry. Notably, her character Angie appeared in over 40 episodes of Orange is the New Black.
