About Julie Kedzie
Julie Kedzie (born March 18, 1981) is a former professional MMA fighter known for her career in various promotions, including EliteXC and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). She was born in Chicago, Illinois.
Kedzie began taking Taekwondo classes at the age of 5 and later earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Indiana University Bloomington. In 2005, she achieved success by winning the Women’s Grand Prix tournament.
After retiring from competitive fighting in 2013, Kedzie transitioned to work as a commentator and matchmaker for Invicta Fighting Championships. She has one sister who also started learning Taekwondo alongside her at age 5.
