About Julie Goodwin
Julie Goodwin was born in Sydney, Australia on October 31, 1970. She is a chef and gained fame as the first-ever winner of MasterChef Australia in 2009. Her victory was witnessed by a record-breaking 4 million Australians.
In 2012, Goodwin participated in MasterChef All Stars for charity and raised $15,000 for Oxfam. Prior to her television success, she was selected out of 7,000 applicants to compete on MasterChef Australia.
Goodwin has authored several bestselling cookbooks including “Our Family Table” and “20/20 Meals.” In addition to her writing career, she opened a cooking school called Julie’s Place in 2014.
Goodwin resides in Sydney with her husband Michael and together they have three children.
