About Julia Taylor Ross
Julia Taylor Ross is a TV actress known for her breakout role as Dr. Maggie Lin on the Canadian medical drama Saving Hope. Born in Cheshire, England on May 9, 1983, Ross made her feature film debut in Silent House before landing the role of Pepper Smith on Katy Keene.
Ross began her college education at University College London and later attended Harvard University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history of art and architecture. During her time at Harvard, she also acted at the American Repertory Theatre and went on to earn a master’s degree from New York’s New School of Drama in 2010.
Ross was born Julia Chan to a Canadian mother and father of Chinese heritage in Prestbury, Cheshire, England. She spent her childhood in Hong Kong before eventually settling in Los Angeles with husband Erik Ratensperger, whom she married in 2011.
