About Julia Pott
Julia Pott is an English animator and illustrator, born on June 13, 1985. She is best known for creating the Cartoon Network original series Summer Camp Island and also for her work as an animator and staff writer on the series Adventure Time.
Pott earned her MA in Animation from the Royal College of Art in 2011 and was later named as one of the New Faces of Independent Film by Filmmaker Magazine. Her short films have been featured at several festivals including Sundance, SXSW, and Tribeca. In 2013, she was recognized as one of three ‘animators to watch’ by Creative Review.
Besides her professional achievements, Pott has a cross-continental background, being born in England but eventually moving to New York City to pursue her artistic career.
