About Julia Clukey
Julia Clukey is an American luger, born on April 29, 1985, in Augusta, Maine. She gained recognition for representing her country at the 2010 Winter Olympics and narrowly missed out on qualifying for the US team again in 2014.
Prior to her Olympic achievements, Clukey began training in luge at the age of 12 and went on to become a Junior World Cup medalist. Her perseverance in overcoming Arnold Chiari Syndrome was highlighted in a feature on CNN’s The Human Factor.
Clukey was born to Cheryl and Robert Clukey and has two sisters.
