About Joanne Borgella
Joanne Borgella was a well-known model and singer, born on May 29, 1982 in New York. She rose to prominence as the winner of the first season of Mo’Nique‘s Fat Chance, a reality show. Additionally, she achieved recognition for making it to the top twenty-four contestants on American Idol in 2008.
Prior to her fame, Borgella graduated from the Academy of St. Joseph’s, a private school located in Long Island, New York.
Borgella extensively documented her battle with an uncommon form of endometrial cancer on her YouTube channel before tragically passing away from the illness in October 2014.
Her father is known for founding Radio Tropicale, a Haitian radio station.
