About Jenny Von Westphalen
Jenny Von Westphalen was a non-fiction author and the wife of the socialist philosopher Karl Marx. She was born on February 12, 1814, in Germany into a prominent Prussian family. Known for her publication “Short Sketch of an Eventful Life” (1865-1866) and several other works, she also had close ties with the well-known German poet Heinrich Heine as he was a friend of her family.
She and Karl Marx had seven children together.
