Jenny Oaks Baker (born May 27, 1975) is an American violinist originally from Utah. She is well known for her tenure as the first violinist for the National Symphony Orchestra, a role she held for seven years. Throughout her career, she has released numerous albums and was even nominated for a Grammy Award.
Baker made her solo debut at the age of eight after only four years of playing the violin. Since then, she has garnered multiple awards for her talents; these include accolades from competitions such as the Concerto Soloists National Young Artists String Competition and the Michaelian Prize in the Irving M. Klein International String Competition.
One notable achievement in Baker’s career was when her album “Then Sings My Soul” reached the #1 spot on Billboard’s Top Classical Albums chart in 2010.
